The Stones Artificial Lift system came online in March-2019, culminating a 10-year journey to develop the technology to enable mudline pumping at 10,000ft water depth, 15,000psi and 300 degF. An extensive and staged Technology Qualification Program (TQP) was carried out to develop the required technology, through component testing, to a complete prototype pump and a fully integrated system test. The presentation will describe the journey through TQP and project delivery, challenges, lessons learnt, installation and field performance for the world’s first 15,000psi ultra-deepwater pump system.
