The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), drawing on its renowned expertise from the comprehensive four-day Subsea Awareness Course, is pleased to present a condensed, one-day workshop in conjunction with the Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition (SSTB) 2026.

In collaboration with the SUT U.S. Branch, Endeavor B2B, and SSTB, this focused session offers a valuable learning experience for professionals engaged in offshore development. Participants may attend as part of the full SSTB 2026 conference or as a stand-alone workshop the day before the main event—including access to the Subsea Tieback Forum Networking Reception on Tuesday evening.

This course provides an excellent introduction—or an opportunity to deepen your understanding—of subsea tieback systems and modern field development strategies. Emphasis will be placed on deepwater applications and emerging technology trends that are shaping the next generation of offshore operations.

Professional Development Hours (PDH): Participants are eligible to earn six PDH credits upon completion.

Workshop Topics:

Throughout the day, expert instructors will provide a comprehensive overview of subsea tieback development, covering:

  • Introduction to Subsea Systems and Layout Solutions
  • Subsea Design Considerations
  • Subsea Hardware and Flow Assurance
  • Subsea Production Controls
  • Construction Operations, Pipelines, and Umbilicals
  • Technologies for Extending Tieback Distance and Enhancing Operations
  • Commercial Management for Operations and Decommissioning
