FlyWOCS has been in use continuously in Guyana since 2019 and continues to grow in demand. FlyWOCS serves the same purpose as a traditional IWOCS package to provide electric power, communications, hydraulics, and chemicals to a subsea asset, but in a more compact and efficient platform by leveraging the ROV system utilities. This presentation will provide a review of the technical components, early challenges encountered in the design and operation of the system, optimizations made over the years, and increased opportunities for its application beyond its original purpose. Additional scopes where FlyWOCS has been utilized includes opening Formation Isolation Valves to reduce rig time, commissioning and troubleshooting manifolds, and supporting vessel-based hydrate remedation scopes.
