Chris Tam is currently with Saipem America leading the Subsea Tieback business for the Houston office. Much of his earlier career focus was in deepwater subsea pipeline R&D, analysis, design, project engineering and management. He has published numerous technical papers and was once a technical authority on limit state design for subsea pipelines. Chris has almost 15 years of European work experience, and 20 years of American and international business management experience, working for companies including JP Kenny, INTEC, Peritus, and EMAS. At EMAS, he had P&L responsibility for Americas and part of West Africa, focusing on the building of a subsea construction business in Houston with the introduction of a new reel-lay vessel. Chris holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of London.
