Session 3: Review of Current and Near Future Subsea Processing Options on a Known Deepwater Stranded Gas Basin
Date & Time
Wednesday, February 19, 2020, 3:45 PM - 4:15 PM
Lee Thomas

An overview of an Oil and Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) study to consider the economic impact of applying current and near future subsea processing technology to known stranded gas fields with a significant geographical spread to the North of Shetland islands, making a gas gathering corridor stretching 200km (125 miles) and 1.7km (5500 ft) deep. The scope included flow assurance analysis and integrated asset modelling for multiple development options to determine the estimated total recovery, development economics and CO2 emissions. This study was supported by data from the UK Oil and Gas Authority and a range of North Sea Operators.
