Encouraging the Next Generation of Engineers to Innovate
This competition recognizes the next generation of engineers by enabling them to push their innovation and creativity as they compete for best design and gain practice in presenting their ideas/solutions.
Working in teams of 3-5, the students work together to provide solution concepts to real world subsea industry issues and deliver a 10 minute presentation to a panel of industry experts.
The winners receive scholarships in varying amounts.

Competition Details:
- Open to undergraduate and graduate students
- Students will provide solution concepts to real-world subsea industry issue
- Up to 36 students will be accepted and placed into teams of 3-5
- Teams will work on the same design problem and propose a solution
- Worktime will be approximately 7 to 8 hours
- Selected subject-matter experts meet with teams as advisors during the design development
- Each team prepares a presentation on their design solution
- Solutions will be presented to a panel of 3 to 6 judges
- Winning team(s) present at Subsea Tieback forum on Wednesday and receives their price
