Bio
Prof. Julie Ingram is the Director of the Subsea Engineering Program in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. Julie possesses a broad base of experience and knowledge in the areas of subsea engineering and project management. She spent the early part of her career at Technip (now TechnipFMC) where she obtained an extensive technical design background in subsea risers, flowlines, and structures. She also is experienced in fabrication, offshore installation and field development evaluation. These technical skills are rounded out by a range of management experience including commercial management, project management, and personnel management. This gives her a unique ability to evaluate subsea development options from the technical and commercial standpoints using experience to understand what is practically achievable. She is also experienced in strategic long-term planning, revenue growth and profitability, contract administration and negotiation, multidisciplinary team management and multi-project oversight.

Julie brings this practical experience into the classroom in combination with state of the art teaching methodologies as an Associate Professor of Practice at Texas A&M where she has taught Subsea Project Implementation, Subsea Riser Design and Subsea Pipeline Design. She also currently works as a consultant in the areas of subsea engineering and project management and is a respected authority in the area of flexible pipe. As the director of the Subsea Engineering Program and as the academic member of the Subsea Tieback Advisory Board, Julie is focused on building the next generation of talent for the Subsea industry. Julie received her BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and her MS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Houston.
