Mr. Schnakenburg’s career spanned 40 years of offshore oil & gas experience including subsea Oil & Gas developments in the US GoM/GoA, Australia, SE Asia, India, The Philippines and elsewhere.

Prior to retirement in 2025, Karl was the Subsea/SURF system Practice Lead and Technical Authority for BHP Petroleum and Woodside Energy. Karl was a SSTB Forum Advisory Board Member since 2008 and past Chairman.
