Milton Chaves is the Senior Operations Manager for the Baldpate Platform and the Conger Asset in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) for Hess Corporation. Chaves is responsible for the safe, reliable, efficient operation of assigned assets and the onshore support team.

Chaves, who joined Hess in 2008, has 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His experience includes a range of leadership and engineering roles in both conventional and unconventional plays offshore and onshore, including Integrity Manager for the GoM and Denmark Assets, Operations Engineering in the GoM, Production Engineering in the Bakken, as well as Facilities and Process Engineering for the Tioga Gas Plant in North Dakota. He has experience supporting different assets domestically and internationally and has spent a nearly equitable amount of time in both field and office-based assignments throughout his career.

Chaves holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
