Bio
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Math from the University of Houston. Rick joined Chevron in 2004 and has 30 years of subsea experience. Between the years of 1991 to 2001, he worked for FMC and ABB Offshore Systems/Vetco Gray, as a design/systems engineer. He worked on projects such as Chevron Kuito, Amoco Liuhua, AGIP East Breaks 157/112, Phillips Garden Banks 70/71, LL&E Garden Banks 235, and Oryx Viosca Knoll 8. In the fall of 2001, he went to work for Marathon Oil and played a key role on the Canyon Express Project as a Subsea Systems Engineer and Senior Company representative during the offshore installation campaign. Upon joining Chevron in 2004, Rick began his career as the Manifold/Jumper Engineer and Offshore Installation manager for Lobito Tomboco. He also served as the subsea facilities manager on Gendalo-Gehem-Ranggas. He was the technical team lead for ETC’s Subsea Electrical Power and Boosting Group from 2008 to 2020. In 2021, he transitioned to CTC’s Chapter Manager of the Subsea Electrical Power and Controls team.
