Facilities Engineer, Titan
JR Salinas is currently the Facilities Engineer for the Titan, Equinor’s production platform in deepwater Gulf of Mexico. He has worked in the upstream oil & gas industry since 2001, primarily in subsea Gulf of Mexico. The first 12 years at a subsea hardware supplier and the last 8 years at Equinor. JR has extensive experience in new product development and subsea hardware. As an equipment supplier, he has worked in field development, new product design, build/test subsea hardware, and installing equipment offshore. As an operator, he has worked on business development of new fields, new product development of a broad range of oil and gas equipment, delivering SURF equipment to a capital value project in deepwater GoM, and now the only full-time facilities engineer for a brownfield production platform. He will soon be joining the advisory boards for Subsea Tieback Forum and Deepwater Operations Conference in 2022. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
