Brazil’s pre-salt production development posed a series of technological challenges to Petrobras over the last two decades. Although all the innovations that have made feasible to produce oil in ultra-deep water, the deployment time of these projects still showed opportunities for improvement, according to other companies’ benchmark. Given the economic attractiveness of reducing the time of green fields development and the increasing share of Petrobras production subject to the term restrictions of the Production Sharing Contract, the company implemented a strategic program focused on reducing the time between discovery and commercial production. This presentation shows the technologies and solutions applied in the Subsea systems to enable the "first oil" anticipation.
