Description

Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) is a potentially disruptive technology that combines light weight, high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in a material that can be spooled. Allied to a business case that can offer robust economics, TCP may offer the potential to reduce the carbon footprint of subsea pipelines with respect to conventional steel alternatives. This presentation will review Chevrons approach to TCP adoption including a summary of lessons learned from recent Chevron TCP deployments as well as a discussion of drivers for future deployments and a perspective on future qualification activities.
